Two Construction Exhibitions Open Today in Almaty

Two four-day-long construction exhibitions open today in Atakent Exhibition Centre, Almaty: KazBuild Spring 2009 – the 4th Kazakhstan International Exhibition for Construction and Interiors, Heating and Ventilation, Ceramics and Stone – and WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2009 – the 2nd Kazakhstan International Specialised Exhibition for Windows, Doors and Façades
The events are organised by Iteca exhibition company (Kazakhstan) and its international partners ITE Group Plc (UK), GiMA (Germany) and EUF (Turkey). The exhibitions are officially supported by the Committee for Construction and Housing Utilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan and Almaty City Akimat.

Exhibitions Profile: The exhibition area of KazBuild Spring 2009 accommodates 140 stands, with nearly 200 companies from 17 countries and 900 brands. WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2009 hosts 30 exhibiting companies from 9 countries. Approximately half of exhibitors of both events are Kazakhstan companies. Both events also welcome national groups from Germany (15% of total exhibitors), Turkey (12%), Russia (11%) and China (7%).

Country Representations: KazBuild Spring 2009 is attended by exhibitors from 17 countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2009, devoted to the window industry, consists of companies from 9 countries: Belarus, China, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan.

For the first time ever, KazBuild Spring exhibition features Bavaria’s regional stand, with 15 German companies. The main objective for German entrepreneurs taking part in the exhibition, according to the Embassy of Germany, is to establish business contacts with prospective partners and to discover opportunities for business co-operation and investment.

New products at the exhibitions: mobile equipment for external decorative design (manual three-speed drilling machines with diamond-point bits), drive systems for doors and windows, flexible pre-insulated pipes for hot water supply and heating systems, new brands of decorating coatings, and much more.

The business programme of  KazBuild Spring 2009 and WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2009 exhibitions includes a variety of presentations, seminars, social and other events. For example, on 4 March, Sovplim-Holding LLC will be holding two presentations: Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems for Industrial Enterprises and Modern Ways of Dust and Gas Cleaning in Aspiration Systems: Infastaub Industrial Filters. On the same day, DoorHan Group is to organising a seminar Development Prospects of the Gates and Roller Shutters Market in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan’s construction market capacity is based on last year’s statistical data. Thus, according to the Committee for Construction and Housing Utilities, the volume of construction works in Kazakhstan in 2008 made up KZT 1,833.5 billion. Over this period, companies, organisations and individual builders commissioned 6,832,000 square metres of housing.

KazBuild Spring 2009 and WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2009 will be open until 6 March.
